How to Cheat in The Sims 3

If you are new to The Sims games, you might have noticed that the playing the game actually takes up a lot of time, because it takes time for your Sims to do things like earn money, get a job, go to the bathroom, etc.

If you want to take out, or bypass some of the time consuming tasks, you can use "Game Cheats" to get the job done.  There are Sims 3 cheats that do everything from put millions of dollars into your bank account to ensuring that your pregnant Sim has twins.

If you follow the instructions I have posted below, I will teach you how to cheat in the Sims 3:

In order to be able to utilize cheats in your video game, you will need to enable certain codes.  To access those codes you will need to complete the following sequence:

Press Control + Shift + C simultaneously on your keyboard.  Now, these instructions are for a PC, but if you have a Mac you probably already know to replace "Control" with "Command."

If you are using an older PC with a copy of Windows Vista, you might need to pres Control + Windows + Shift along with C.

A bar will appear at the top of your video game screen, this is the console.  Once this console is visible, you can type in the specific cheat code you want to access. When you are done entering the cheat code, you can simply press the Escape key to exit the console.

The following table lists some of the most common cheats.  If you do a search for the tags on my blog, you will find more sophisticated codes that I have made a specific blog post for.

TIP: If you click on either of the two images listed below, you will be able to enlarge the size so you can see the cheat codes better.

Where Did the Idea for Sims Let's Play Come From?

Well basically, the idea came from all of the video gamers who have taken to YouTube to create guides and walk throughs for popular video games.

The main concept around "Let's Play," as far as my videos and this blog is concerned, is to show people who may be new to playing The Sims 3, it's expansion packs, and later releases, what it is like to play the game.

I'm concentrating on the newbie point of view.... Gamers like Curtis Paradis, the Quxxn, and iJustine can show you what it is like to play from an expert's point of view.

#1 - Hello World!

Hey Everybody!

I'm TheSimFan and I wanted to introduce myself to anyone who visits my blog or checks out my Sims Let's Play YouTube Channel, TheSimFanVids.

I discovered The Sims years ago from the original game.  When I first discovered it, I played the game for hours at a time.  Then I got bored with it, moved on to real life responsibilities, and it kinda fell by the wayside.

Then, I heard they made The Sims 2 video game. I played around with it for a while, and I became intrigued with it for a hot minute.  The upgrade from The Sims to The Sims 2 was amazing, and I liked all the things that could be done with the game.

The thing I was drawn to most about The Sims 2 was the fact that movies could be made within the game.  I liked all of the cool tricks and effects I saw when I viewed fan vids, but I didn't really understand how it was being done.  Then as usual, time went on and I gradually stopped playing the game.

Now, I know The Sims 3 has been out for quite some time, but I have never really had the chance to get into the game.  But, when I discovered it, I was enthralled yet again.  The thing that really gets me going is all of the Machinima that is being made with The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 games.

I have a deep love for films and film making, and in my eyes, I can see that The Sims games would be an ideal place to create a movie, because the actors and sets can be easily created.

Now, the problem comes for me when I think of how difficult it must be to be able to learn code and manipulate the simulated actors to do what I would want them to do....

Learning Machinima will be a long and painful process for me, but I am determined.  For now, I want to master the game itself and all of the expansion packs, well... most of the expansion packs, because I hear that some of them are duds.

Anyway, for right now, come along with me as I learn how to play the game; hopefully it will be a fun ride for me and you as well.  Let's Play!
